Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. An elementary special education role is available to
support life skills instruction within a dedicated special
education classroom. This full-time contract position runs from now
through May 26, 2026, and is based in Richmond, TX. The assignment
focuses on delivering individualized support to elementary-aged
students requiring life skills development in a classroom setting
of approximately 8-10 students. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver
specialized instruction tailored to the needs of elementary
students in a life skills special education classroom. -
Collaborate with a paraprofessional to implement effective
classroom management and behavioral intervention strategies. -
Develop and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
consistent with state guidelines. - Monitor student progress and
communicate regularly with families and support staff. - Maintain a
positive, inclusive learning environment that fosters student
growth and independence. Preferred Qualifications: - Valid SPED
EC-12 certification through the Texas Education Agency. -
Experience working with elementary-aged children in special
education settings, specifically life skills classrooms. - Ability
to work full-time hours, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, including a half-hour
lunch break. - Compliance with district requirements, including
fingerprinting and drug screening. - Strong teamwork and
communication skills to work effectively with paraprofessionals and
school personnel. Location: Richmond, TX (Elementary School
