Since then, the agency has expanded to 10 clinics in Houston, one in Baytown, two in Beaumont, and one in Deer Park with extensive services that include: Adult primary care, HIV/AIDS care, pediatrics, OB/GYN and maternity, dental, vision and behavioral health. We also service students within KIPP and YES Prep schools. Legacy is committed to driving healthy change in our communities.Job DescriptionThe Senior Director- Regional Operations, is responsible for the financial and operational success of assigned outpatient geriatric practices. The Senior Director ensures the direction and implementation of operating policies and initiatives and is accountable to the Vice President of Operations, Value Based Care. The Senior Director oversees and leads Site Directors in developing and implementing site-specific action plans, budgets and tactics for assigned practices. He/she also supervises Site Directors and Operations Managers, as applicable, including coaching, guiding, and assisting them in managing the operations of their assigned practice locations. The Senior Director will spend designated time in the practice locations throughout the workweek to support the work and operations of the clinic and ensure continuity of standards and procedures and the success of the practice.Essential FunctionsOversees operations and service delivery of outpatient geriatric practice sites. The clinic operational leadership (Site Director and/or Operations Managers) report to the Sr. Director - Regional OperationsWorks with clinics to interview and hire clinic operational leadership and other clinic leaders, and ensures onboarding plans are completed and documented for each new hire. Directly supervises and establishes accountabilities, provides performance feedback and conducts annual performance evaluations for direct reports, with input from relevant leadership teams. Provides counsel to direct reports in disciplinary matters with assistance from HR for disciplinary actions and/or terminationsIn collaboration with Site Director, ensures success of physician and mid-level providers in clinic and value based care performance domains. Collaborates with physicians to support their ability to establish a model that facilitates value-based care success.Confirms that staff contributing to all areas of clinic performance (patient care, patient experience, quality, operational performance, financial performance, training and education) and value based care performance (efficiency, clinical documentation quality, pharmacy management, referral network optimization) are adhering to policies and procedures; recommends and implements changes in policies and procedures to improve performance, as appropriateConfirms project deadlines and performance goals are met for the clinics.Confirms that all clinics comply with operational procedures and regulatory compliance.Confirms that competency testing has been performed and documentation is on file for all support staff employees in assigned area as required by Legacy Community Health. Competencies for clinical support skills must be performed by an employee that has documented competency for that skill.Monitors, interprets and reports operational and financial performance monthly with Site Directors, VP, and medical leadership. In collaboration with the clinic leadership team, develops and implements site-specific action plans to improve performance with clear deadlines and objectives.Works with Site Director to ensure compliance with performance standards and continuity of practice across location in the assigned region.Partners with Provider and Nursing Leadership to ensure clinics are aligned in support of standard clinical and quality protocols.Works closely with appropriate leadership and the site leadership to grow the practice of the clinics within the assigned region and assists in implementing new initiatives in his/her assigned region.Supports initiatives for annual budget development and ensures adherence to budget for his/her assigned region. Holds the Site Director and/or Operations Manager accountable for adherence to budget and performance objectivesMaintains routine communication with VP to review operational issues, performance targets and other projects defined by the COO.Attends routine operational leadership meetings and problem solves jointly with leadershipEnsures regular communication of operational performance, including financial, quality, and patient experience metrics, to appropriate provider and staff teams.Ensures Site Director collaborates with marketing on strategies for region and works with practice liaison for success and that those strategies are consistent for his/her region.Routinely uses meaningful financial metrics to drive business decisions for the practices in his/her region, including revenue mix, revenue per business day, labor per payroll day, and labor productivity standards and utilizes this information to manage his/her book of business.Approximately 60% of work week will be spent on site working in the assigned practices for the region.Completes other projects and assignments as requiredPerforms other duties as assigned.Education & Training Experience RequirementsBachelors in business, healthcare or related discipline is requiredSeven (7) to ten (10) years of experience managing a clinic's practice operations requiredMaster's degree, MHA, MBA or equivalent preferredA master's degree can be substituted for two years of management experience.Work Experience RequirementsKnowledge of business and care models that support value-based care.A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven team-oriented environment.Intimate knowledge of the day-to-day operations of an outpatient clinical geriatric practice operations and a clear understanding of the healthcare delivery systemFinancial and analytical expertise in budget development, physician practice productivity, productivity standards, revenue cycle management, provider relations, scheduling and referral tracking management and all other aspects relating to the management of a dynamic and growing practice.A demonstrated record of accomplishment in areas such as fiscal management/ cost control; marketing and practice development; strategic planning and human resource management.Significant skill in communicating with and relating to providers, including the ability to establish productive and cohesive partnership with providersAbility to balance conflicting priorities.Leadership skills, ability to influence, form consensus and drive an agenda.Analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources and summarize the information and data in an order to solve problems.Knowledge of legal issues related to clinical practice operations, employment law and fraud/ abuse rules.Knowledge of project planning and ability to coordinate various projects and activities concurrently (multitasking/ prioritizing).Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and apply strong leadership skills in problem solving effectively.Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritizeAdept in decision making responsibilitiesBenefits9 Holiday + 1 Floating HolidayPTO403b Retirement PlanMedical / Vision / Dental (if eligible)
