Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team of healthcare professionals in providing exceptional care and support in our inpatient rehabilitation hospitals. As a valued member of our team, you will work under the direction and supervision of physical therapists to help patients recover from illnesses and injuries, aiming to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life. This role requires a compassionate individual who can effectively assist patients in their therapeutic exercises, treatments, and interventions, aligned with patient-centered plans designed by physical therapists. Assist physical therapists in evaluating patients' progress and responses to treatments Implement selected components of patient treatment, providing direct therapy in accordance with the plans prepared by the physical therapist Educate patients and families on post-therapy care and routines Maintain patient records and documentation of progress Adhere to clinical and operational standards and procedures Proficiency in implementing physical therapy modalities and treatments as directed Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to perform tasks both independently and as part of a team Capable of managing time effectively and multitasking with ease Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid Physical Therapist Assistant state license CPR certification preferred
