This opportunity is for a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide services within an engaging school environment in the Houston, TX area. The position involves working on-site in multiple schools within a designated zone on the southwest side of the city. The contract role is full-time at 35 hours per week, with a focus on delivering quality OT support to students ranging in age from 3 to 21 years. Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations for students across various age groups. - Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs. - Collaborate with educators and attend ARD meetings to support student progress. - Manage caseload efficiently across multiple assigned schools within the zone. - Ensure compliance with district policies including credentialing and fingerprint requirements. Preferred Qualifications and Experience: - Active Texas Occupational Therapy licensure is required. - Experience working in school-based settings highly preferred. - Candidates with a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential and multiple years of school experience are encouraged to apply. - Proven ability to conduct evaluations and participate effectively in multidisciplinary team meetings. - Strong organizational and communication skills to handle caseload demands and documentation. - Prior experience with a diverse student population aged 3-21.
