Memorial Hermann, a leading health system in Texas, dedicated to providing top-notch patient care and clinical excellence, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department (ED) Admission Holds team at Texas Medical Center (TMC) for daytime shifts. This position plays a critical role in managing the initial admission processes for patients in the ED, ensuring efficient patient flow and the highest standards of care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency nursing, excellent patient assessment skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Assess patient conditions and needs to develop appropriate care plans. Manage the initial admission process for patients entering the ED. Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other medical staff. Educate patients and families about conditions and treatment plans. Ensure documentation is accurate and complies with regulatory requirements. Strong clinical skills in a fast-paced, emergency environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations. Proficient in using medical software for patient records.
