Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Mammography Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Local Contract Pride Health is hiring for Mammography technologist for Houston, TX location Job Title - Mammography technologist Job Location - Houston, TX Contract Hiring for Locals 40 hr/ week 8 hrs/day shift We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to perform diagnostic and screening mammography, DEXA, and general radiographic procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and MQSA standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and compassionate patient care. Key Responsibilities - Perform 2D, 3D (tomosynthesis), diagnostic mammography, spot compression, and DEXA studies - Maintain repeat rates ?5% (mammography) and ?8% (radiography) - Conduct mammography quality control (QC) testing and ensure MQSA compliance - Utilize RIS and PACS systems accurately; report image transmission issues - Apply radiation safety standards and proper shielding techniques - Assist with fluoroscopic and invasive procedures (ASC/SCNB) as applicable - Maintain equipment logs, cleaning records, and QA documentation - Communicate effectively with radiologists, supervisors, and clinical staff Required Qualifications - Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program - ARRT (R)(M) certification & MRT license - BCLS certification - 40 hours ARRT-approved mammography training - Minimum 2 years mammography experience (or 1 year KSC X-ray/SCNB experience) - Working knowledge of PACS, RIS, QC standards, and accreditation requirements Preferred Qualifications - Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology - Experience with SCNB procedures - Bilingual abilities About Pride Health Pride Health is Pride Global's healthcare staffing branch, providing recruitment solutions for healthcare professionals and the industry at large since 2010.
