Job Description:
The ideal candidate loves talking to people and proactively
solving issues. You will be responsible for Customer Service
SUMMARY
Processes orders for material or merchandise received by mail,
telephone, or personally from customer or company employee by
performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other
duties may be assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY VARY BY LOCATION:
Responsible for answering phones, responding to questions, and
routing calls to other departments. Types correspondence, files
invoices and shipping papers. Orders office supplies, sorts and
delivers mail.
Writes or types order form, or enters data into computer, generates
shipping papers, and checks customer credit. Checks orders for
accuracy and attaches MSDS information. Sets-up monthly blanket
orders and can purchase product for a "Direct" (non wholesale
item).
Schedules deliveries and routes trucks, informs customer of
shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information
needed by customer. Ensures compliance with customer
specifications.
Confers with production, sales, shipping, warehouse, or common
carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed
shipments.
Checks inventory, inputs order for out of stock shipments, and
verifies arrival of new inventory.
Prepares invoices and shipping documents such as bill of lading.
Issues credit memos and checks customer payments. Processes vendor
invoices and freight billings. Processes corrected billings.
Maintains customer price books and files. Quotes prices to
customers and types salesperson's quotes.
Responsible for obtaining certificates of analysis, certificates of
compliance, and processing Material Safety Data sheets.
Maintains signature file for gasoline excise tax, and tax records
with current customer signatures.
Schedule production of product as necessary.
Coordinates shipment to other branch facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
combination of education and experience; and one to three years
related experience and/or training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to
speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of
organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts,
interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area,
circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic
algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of
concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization
exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in
written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to use and knowledge of personal computer and related
software. Ability to operate common office machines.

Responsibilities
Communicate with customers via phone, email and chat
Provide knowledgeable answers to questions about product, pricing
and availability
Work with internal departments to meet customer's needs
Data entry in various platforms
Qualifications
At least 1 - 3 years' of relevant work experience
Excellent phone etiquette and excellent verbal, written, and
interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
