(Kanban Focus) Location: Houston, Texas Assignment Type: 6-12 month
contract, possibility to extend Work Schedule: In office
Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with Remote Fridays Pay Rate:
$60-$65/hour Benefits: The position is eligible for Medical,
Dental, Vision, and 401(k) Overview: We are partnering with a large
enterprise organization seeking a Senior Scrum Master with deep
expertise in Kanban and flow-based delivery. This individual will
independently support multiple Agile teams and drive measurable
improvements in delivery health, transparency, and predictability.
This role is best suited for a highly autonomous delivery leader
who thrives in complex environments and can influence both teams
and stakeholders at multiple levels. Key Responsibilities: Lead and
coach multiple Agile teams utilizing Kanban and flow-based delivery
practices Assess delivery effectiveness and identify systemic
impediments impacting flow Implement and evolve Kanban systems to
improve transparency, throughput, and predictability Facilitate key
Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, daily stand-ups,
planning sessions, and retrospectives Leverage delivery metrics
(WIP, cycle time, throughput, aging work, etc.) to guide continuous
improvement Support cross-team coordination and alignment across
various delivery models (Scrum, Kanban, hybrid) Partner closely
with Product Owners and business stakeholders to maintain backlog
health and delivery alignment Promote Agile best practices and
serve as a mentor to other Scrum Masters Required Qualifications:
Scrum certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) and formal Kanban
training or certification Strong experience leading Kanban teams in
complex, enterprise environments Demonstrated ability to operate
independently and drive measurable delivery improvements Experience
supporting multiple concurrent teams Recent hands-on experience
with Azure DevOps (ADO) Strong facilitation and stakeholder
communication skills Ability to navigate challenging conversations
while maintaining team accountability and transparency Preferred:
Experience in scaled Agile environments Experience facilitating
Agile training sessions Experience mentoring other delivery leaders
Familiarity with modern software development practices (CI/CD,
automated testing, user stories, TDD, etc.) Experience: 8 years of
experience as a Scrum Master, including significant experience
supporting Kanban teams Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
experience
