POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for maintenance, repairs and production on all vessels and tanks.-- - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory.-- - The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities, to perform essential job functions.-- - KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -- - - Must be experienced to perform tasks with oxygen acetylene torch.-- - -- - - Must be skilled to use plasma torch.-- - -- - - Must be able to weld MIG and/or TIG Carbon, Stainless Steel and/or Aluminum, some fit work and Assembling. -- - - Electrical and Hydraulics a plus. -- - - Must be skilled to operate tools listed below: o Grinder, Sander, Drill, Band saw, Chop saw.-- - -- - - Must be able to read and interpret drawings and schematics. -- - - Responsible for maintaining a clean area. -- - - Must respect property and tools of TWA. -- - - Knowledge of operating a welding manipulator is a plus. -- - - Must be able to work (flexible hours) extended hours, to include nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Job Requirements:KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/COMPENTENCIES -- - - High School/GED equivalent required. No certifications required. -- - - Minimum years of experience 2 years in a manufacturing setting. Education level or comparable equivalent in experience. -- - - Knowledge of material types. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS -- - - Employee is continually required to talk and hear.-- - -- - - Stand for long periods of time. -- - - Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. -- - - Must have full mobility in bending and squatting. -- - - Must be able to stand or walk on feet for long periods of time. -- - - Must be able to climb a ladder or harness system up to 4 feet high. CONDITIONS -- - - Manufacturing floor, confined space, and exposure to dust and fumes related to the industry well within safety standards. Exposed to changing and inclement weather conditions. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS -- - - Report safety hazards. -- - - Immediately report incidents involving illness, injury or property damage. -- - - Wear appropriate PPE as instructed. -- - - Comply with all safety policies, procedures and rules. -- - - Refuse any unsafe tasks or operation. -- - - Participation in safety meetings and training. -- - - Keep constant awareness of their personal safety and that of coworkers. -- - - Awareness of occupational hazards. -- - - Hazardous material knowledge. -- - - Comfortable in confined space 15 inch inside diameter to size of tank entry. -- - - Participation in safety meetings and training. -- - - Be aware of personal safety as well as that of team members to promote a safe work environment. POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This is a full-time position. Basic work schedule is Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Subject to change based on business needs. TRAVEL No travel is expected for this position. WORK AUTHORIZATION Eligibility to work in the U.S. with the appropriate work authorization documentation. EEO STATEMENT Monitor welding performance and welding efficiency Using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment Maintain welding supplies and maintenance of welding equipment Perform welding duties using a wire welder Setup welding machines to obtain proper welding penetration Using processes gas metal arc welding (GMAW) Operate other welding equipment or learn other welding processes Specialize in certain types of welding such as custom fabrication, welding, structural construction welding, or production welding Perform pipe fitting and pipe welding Perform other types of welding including fabrication and plate welding Perform arc, mig & tig welding operations Using various welding techniques (tig, mig, and oxy acetylene welding) Replace worn welding machine parts Set up welding machines and welding various thickness and types of steel Adjust welding current to proper weld configurations Maintain and operate welding equipment Maintain welding equipment and tools Perform welding, repair and fabrication Obtaining a structural welding certificate (CWB) Using wrenches or welding equipment
