Job Description Remediates oil and hazmat spills and cleans industrial tanks and equipment. Performs routine and frequent manual and heavy labor tasks. Clean equipment or areas contaminated with oil or other hazardous, toxic, or caustic materials using detergents and solvents, pressure washers, absorbent pads, filter pumps, drum skimmers, and Marco skimmers. Operate extremely high-pressured water blast equipment to clean heavy industrial equipment (pipe, boilers, tanks, heat exchangers, bundles, barges). Respond to industrial emergencies such as oil spills, train derailments, and hazardous material leaks. Assist in the removal of soil, debris, and other materials to clean up spill sites Perform general housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, organizing, cleaning, lawn care, and other assigned tasks. Operate or assist in the operation of power tools and heavy equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, track hoes, backhoes. Load, hook up, break down vacuum truck hoses and other equipment. Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, pumps, and general work area. Clean up work area and equipment after work is completed. Complete all appropriate paperwork including services receipts. Work with co-workers as a team to maintain a safe working environment.
