Job Title: Programmer Analyst Location: Baytown, TX Work Type:

Collaborates across departments to produce needed reports from COR
systems (Symitar, ARCU, Temenos), designs & builds SQL tables, and
makes system parameter changes to ensure systems are updated and
working as needed. Performs primary operator duties of Symitar.
Responsibilities:
- Writes programs that provides information of the core
processing systems to staff as requested
- Changes values within the core processing systems to produce
results requested or approved by executive staff
- Works with core processing vendors for system changes as
dictated by special projects or system developments
- Creates and modifies Symform files as directed
- Responsible for the routine updates of the Core processing
systems & related critical systems such as Optical, Image Center,
etc.
- Responsible for design, optimization, and queries for
organizational databases
- Adds and joins SQL tables as directed to organizations
databases
- Responsible for database reporting and ETL processing,
extracting from data sources (that are not optimized for analytics)
and moving it to a central host
- Use of SQL, SSRS, SSIS and PowerBI can be expected but not
limited to only these
- Ability to produce reports in and competent understanding of
Scanshell
- Participates in meetings pertaining to special projects and
initiatives to assess changes necessary to the core processing and
related systems
- Responsible as a first responder in disaster scenarios for core
system.
- Ensures successful completion of the daily processing of system
activities by the core processing systems (Symitar and Temenos) and
related systems (not limited to) such as E-statements, optical and
other directly related systems. Requirements:
- One year to three years of similar or related experience (Two
years of programming preferred)
- Ability to demonstrate basic programming concepts are a
requirement.
- SQL, and Microsoft Power BI, Powershell, SSIS and SSRS
preferred.
- Demonstrates an understanding of, and follow the requirements
of all regulation compliance, including but not limited to
- Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Office of
Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Customer Identification Program
(CIP) and Member Due Diligence (MDD) as it specifically relates to
their job functions. Employee shall be trained annually in BSA/AML
compliance.
- Position Involves much personal contact with others inside
and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level
conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting
cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality
and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Education:
- A bachelor's degree
- or achievement of formal certifications recognized in the
industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g. information
technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical
field preferred, direct education in programming languages
essential.
