From menu planning, management transitions, lowering daily food
cost or preparing for upcoming catering events, our knowledgeable
sales team is with your units every step of the way. Our team has a
combined 100+ years in the seafood industry and has a vast
knowledge of this industry s every facet.Job descriptionHouston
Seafood Co is an established international supply chain company,
and is looking for forward thinking, qualified customer support and
business development individuals who can join our team.If you have
a minimum of 3 years background in the seafood industry, we are
interested in talking to you.You must have experience working with
either major retailers, broad line distributors or multi-unit end
user chain accounts with an expertise in either business
development, or supply chain management with a proven track
record.Our ideal candidate is someone self-motivated, driven, able
to multi-task and think strategically, and able to execute a
laid-out plan for meeting goals and objectives. A college degree is
helpful but not necessary with the right experience.We warehouse
and distribute seafood products in the United States and serve most
major retailers and broad line distribution companies around the
country. We carry over 2000 SKU at any given time, and operate
within a value system of business ethics, sustainability, and
social responsibility.Work Schedule:This position will be based in
Houston, we may consider individuals with strong sales and seafood
background to work from a home office.There may be travel required
as needed as well as trips to trade shows and industry
functions.ResponsibilitiesIdentify partnership opportunitiesDevelop
new relationships to grow business and open new accountsMaintain
existing business with current customersThink critically when
planning to ensure project successManage a profitable business
portfolioQualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent
experienceExcellent seafood and supply chain knowledgeWorking
knowledge of distribution
retail and foodservice customers, processors, brokers and other
distributors of products.Proficient in developing and delivering
presentations to customers and other decision makers.3 years prior
industry related business development experience workingStrong
communication and interpersonal skillsProven knowledge and
execution of successful development strategiesFocused and
goal-orientedCreative and practical problem solving
abilitiesExperienced with MS Office Suite, general accounting and
excellent organizational skillsJob Type: Full-timePay: $55,000.00 -
