Technology organization is the technological foundation of our
business and works in collaboration with our partners from across
the company. The team drives technology and digital transformation,
partners with business leaders to design and execute new strategies
through IT and operations services and ensures the necessary IT
risk management and security measures are in place and aligned with
enterprise architecture standards and principles. About The Role An
Integration Architect is a senior role that acts as the blueprint
designer and technical leader for how the organization's various
software systems, applications, and data sources connect,
communicate, and exchange data efficiently and securely. This role
is essential for streamlining business processes, ensuring data
integrity, and enabling digital transformation initiatives. They
define the strategy, patterns, and governance for data exchange to
ensure system compatibility, scalability, and efficiency across the
organization. The primary objective of an Integration Architect is
to eliminate silos and create a unified, seamless flow of
information across the enterprise's diverse and often disparate
technology landscape, which may range from modern cloud services to
legacy systems. They ensure the entire system is reliable,
scalable, and aligned with long-term business goals.
Responsibilities Integration Strategy & Planning: Define the
enterprise-wide integration strategy, roadmap, principles to
alignment with business objectives and technology standards.
Requirements Analysis: Work closely with business stakeholders,
solution architects, and product owners to gather, analyze, and
translate complex business requirements into robust technical
integration specifications. Design and Architecture: Architect
high-performance, scalable, and fault-tolerant integration
solutions using appropriate patterns (e.g., API-first,
event-driven, batch, point-to-point) and technologies such as APIs,
microservices, Enterprise Service Buses (ESB), message queues, and
cloud integration platforms (iPaaS). Governance and Standards:
Establish and enforce integration standards, best practices, and
governance processes to ensure consistency, quality, security, and
compliance across projects. Technology Selection & Implementation:
Select and implement appropriate integration technologies,
including middleware, API gateways, and cloud-based platforms,
providing guidance on configuration and deployment. Technical
Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical leadership to
development teams, conduct code and design reviews, and mentor
junior developers on best practices and standards. Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive architecture documentation,
including high-level and detailed diagrams, data flow models,
technical specifications, and operating guidelines. Testing &
Quality Assurance: Oversee integration testing (unit, system, UAT)
and coordinate with QA teams to ensure solutions meet quality,
compliance, and security standards. Monitoring & Optimization:
Monitor the health, performance, and capacity of existing
integrations, troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and
implement performance tuning strategies. Collaboration &
Leadership: Work closely with product owners, developers, and
cross-functional teams to gather requirements, communicate the
Integration value proposition. Integration: Oversee the design of
solutions that integrate diverse software systems, applications,
databases, and cloud-native platforms. Performance & Scalability:
Define non-functional requirements and implement strategies for
performance optimization, caching, rate limiting, throughput,
ordering and ensuring system reliability. Tools & Infrastructure:
Select and leverage API gateways (Amazon API Gateway), service
meshes (Istio, VPC Lattice), Queues (SQS, Amazon MQ – Rabbit
MQ/Apache Active MQ), Event Buses, Routers and Pipes (Amazon
EventBridge), Workflows (AWS Step Functions), Serverless Functions
(AWS Lambda) and Streaming Platforms (Kafka, Kinesis). Skills and
Qualifications Technical Acumen: Integration Patterns & Methods:
Expertise in event-driven, publish-subscribe, hub-and-spoke,
microservices, and data integration. Platforms & Tools: Proficient
with iPaaS, message brokers, event routers, queues, ETL, API
gateways, and cloud services (AWS). APIs: Strong skills in API
design, management, and development (REST, SOAP). Data & Databases:
Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, data warehousing, and data transformation.
Programming: Knowledge of languages like Java, JavaScript for
custom solutions. DevOps/Agile: CI/CD, automation, and Agile/Scrum
methodologies. Security: Data security, privacy, and compliance in
integrations. Cloud & Infrastructure Proficiency: Competency in
leveraging cloud-native platforms, managing API gateways, service
meshes and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for
automation. Performance Engineering: Skill in defining
non-functional requirements (NFRs) and implementing strategies for
optimization, caching, throughput, ordering rate limiting, and
overall system reliability and scalability. Integration Expertise:
The ability to design solutions that seamlessly integrate diverse
software systems, applications, databases, and platforms. Strategic
Positioning : The capability to define a clear vision, establish
enterprise-wide standards, and ensure governance throughout the
Integration journey. Proficiency in managing the entire Integration
process, from planning and design reviews through testing and
deployment. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with
product owners, developers, and stakeholders, providing technical
leadership and mentorship while clearly articulating complex
architectural decisions to non-technical audiences. The ability to
define strategies for telemetry, monitoring and usage, and ensuring
comprehensive, high-quality documentation for internal and external

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or proven record of
experience. 7 years of experience in Integration design,
architecture, and development. Strong expertise with REST, GraphQL,
event-driven APIs, and microservices architectures. An
understanding of the financial services industry. Hands-on
experience with designing secure Integrations using
authentication/authorization frameworks. Proven ability to
integrate APIs across diverse applications, software systems, and
data sources. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform,
CloudFormation). Strong understanding of session management, token
strategies, and secure communication protocols. JavaScript, Java
knowledge. Experience with API gateways (Amazon API Gateway),
service meshes (Istio, VPC Lattice), Queues (SQS, Amazon MQ –
Rabbit MQ/Apache Active MQ), Event Buses, Routers and Pipes (Amazon
EventBridge), Workflows (AWS Step Functions), Serverless Functions
(AWS Lambda) and Streaming Platforms (Kafka, Kinesis). Experience
with MCP. Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and cloud-native
deployment models. Experience with monitoring and observability
tools (AWS CloudWatch / CloudTrail, Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus,
OpenTelemetry). Strong communication, documentation, and
cross-functional collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications :
Deep knowledge of Amazon API Gateway, Istio, VPC Lattice, SQS,
Amazon MQ – Rabbit MQ/Apache Active MQ, Amazon EventBridge, AWS
Step Functions, AWS Lambda, Kafka, Kinesis. Knowledge of MCP.
Certification in Cloud (AWS). Compensation The anticipated salary
range for this position is $122,000 to $145,000 at the commencement
of employment for the Jersey City, NJ area. Not all candidates will
be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual
compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple
factors, which may include the candidate’s geographic location,
skills, experience and other qualifications. In addition, the
position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with
the terms of the applicable incentive plan. Corebridge also offers
